After a little style auditing for our little 2 bedroom apartment, Mr. S and I decided that our bedroom was in the winning for the worst offender for nightmares. It's only appropriate that we decide this coming on Halloween. The following photos emphasize the real need for change and the fact that we have been in denial about this change for so many years. Mind you all of this furniture with the exception of the bed has been hand-me-downed or thrifted or worse yet, the origin of how it came to us is unknown. Last weekend, I took to analyzing and painting and dreaming of how wonderful our bedroom "could" be. Granted, we can't paint the walls or anything spectacular like that, as we live in an apartment complex, but there are some magical things that can and have happened with a can of paint and some new/old thrifted furniture that actually matches each other. Before I tell you and show you my ideas and color scheme for our newish bedroom, I'm showing you the photos of the before. It makes the astonishing makeover that much more amazing, wouldn't you agree? Though I know it's nearly impossible, I ask for you to please be kind. And most definitely, pray for us....
I hope you took advantage of a good laugh at our expense. Now I'm off to finish up some painting.

My favorite is the man dresser. David has one quite similar that I spent the first two years of our marriage trying to convince him to hide. we have been much happier with it after some changes were made. Its funny, the notes on the pictures I thought were vinyl lettering that you had put on the walls. Hahaha! I was not quite sure what to think. Im very excited to see the end result. Isnt change fabulous!
